The series sets out to promote the still relatively new academic field of visual culture to a wider audience. Each short book consists of two essays and a conversation. With simplicity and clarity being one of the main concerns the form of book only inserts itself at the beginning of the essay/conversation in the shape of a folded top hand right corner. The text area on the cover formally mirrors this shape.
